A few years ago I was doing a course for HTML, I didn’t come from a background of front-end dev so it was all new to me. I was enjoying the course, but as happens in life, I was lead down another path, and I didn’t have the chance to finish the course. I was quite disappointed but we don’t always choose our paths.
I landed up in a end-user support environment, with some dev mixed in, but this was software dev, which means my front-end dev dreams went up in smoke.
According to NYT in May 2018, Russia and Iran were trying to ban Telegram messenger. Russia had in fact banned the app in April 2018. India banned Telegram Web last year I believe.
Telegram is a popular messaging platform among people who value their privacy, even though nothing is private anymore, remember that. Users in Iran and Russia and various other countries around the world are currently using VPN connections to get around these bans.
Working in the corporate environment was interesting, to say the least… One of the biggest issues we had was that people though a password was just for logging into their user workstation just needed to be easy to remember. This could not be further from the truth. When you choose a password remember one thing, it is another link in the chain protecting the organisation you work for.
